Earlier this season SQAWK headed up north for its 2026 annual trip. We had been daydreaming about the snow pillows of the Monashee and Selkirk mountains for a while, and it was finally time to explore interior B.C's snow playground.
We loaded up the truck, packed our test gear and cameras and headed north.
We planned to visit 3 resorts (and sprinkle in some Cat skiing)
- Red Mountain
- Revelstoke
- Kicking Horse
The trip did not go to plan.
Low snow cover, a broken chairlift, and non-running SnowCat operations threw us some lemons, but we did our best to make lemonade. Bad conditions couldn't keep us from having a good time and there were still plenty of laughs.
