The final stop on our trip took us to Kicking Horse. This resort has few lifts but an abundance of large, scary, steep hike to terrain. The abundance of boot packing and general lack of lift infrastructure gives the mountain a rugged wild feel.
Visibility above the inversion layer was awesome so we hiked and dropped into several of Kicking's alpine bowls. Crystal Bowl and Bowl over got our legs warmed up but Super bowl (one of the farthest traverses) really got our heart pumping. (Its steep and there are some seriously gnarly entrances depending on the line you choose) It reminded us of the hike to Silver King (and the subsequent alpine bowls at our childhood local, Crystal mountain)

All smiles at the bottom of the Super Bowl, even without fresh snow for several weeks there were untouched relatively nice pockets to be found.
Unfortunately, outside of the bowls the overall snow quality was quite icy as the interior had not received new snow in several weeks. This limited the teams desire to huck jump and film. Instead, they focused on enjoying the remainder of the road trip wrapping up without injuries and on a positive note.

A sunny easy-going lunch at the summit house. Incredible views in every direction.
Impressive peaks visible off the steep medal stairs that allow access to Fuez bowl (Stairway to heaven)
The trip had its hiccups, and the weather gods were not kind to the team but in the end, we were still all smiles. Despite the conditions tons of gear was tested and footage captured. You will see the hard work and feedback of the team riders in our end of season and future releases.
SQAWK will most definitely be returning to these resorts (with hopefully more fresh snow)
